The Microchip PIC32 processor is a 32-bit embedded-system controller chip based on the MIPS (Microprocessor without Interlocked Pipeline Stages) processor, the RISC architecture treated by many textbooks on computer architecture. The easiest way to experiment with this device is to obtain a PIC32 Starter Kit.
